Susan Kriz is known throughout the area as "The Bead Lady".  Susan is a Colorado native and has lived in the Bailey area for 34 years. She started beading 31 years ago.  Her work is in 42 states and Germany, Holland, France, Canada, Mexico and Japan.  For her daughter's wedding, she made the bouquets with French beaded flowers for the bride and her attendants along with the boutonnieres and corsages for the wedding party.  In 2004, Susan won the Bead Challenge at the Rocky Mountain Bead Society.  She has also won awards at the Bead and Fiber show in Fairplay.
