Coyote Creek pays its rent and operating costs, while providing public relations and marketing support, by collecting a percentage of the sales from our participating artists. Membership dues are required to participate in the co-op.
Memberships are defined as follows:
A working member is an artist who is a contributing member to the health and continuation of the Gallery. Working in the Gallery is mandatory. However, alternate contributions which may include monetary contributions, marketing, ad design, covering printing costs, etc which contribute to the well-being and growth of the gallery may be accepted in lieu of hours in the gallery. Alternatives to working are up to the discretion of the board. For a working member, yearly dues are $150.00.
Commission Scale for Working Members
:: Working 2 days a month, the member will pay the Gallery 25% commission for work sold.
:: Working 1 day a month, the member will pay the Gallery a 35% commission for work sold.
A non-working member of the Gallery is considered a consignee. For 2010-2011, a consignee pays a yearly $250.00 dues with a 50% commission to the Gallery for sales made. There is limited space availability for consignees.
Payments to the artists will be made after the 15th of each month.
