Deborah Abbott
Eco-Conscious Artist
Deborah is a fine artist with a mission to save items from the landfill through reducing, reusing, and upcycling material to make sustainable eco-conscious art. All the materials used in the making of her art were saved from entering the waste stream.
Deborah grew up on a farm in Ohio & at the early age of five she decided she was going to be an artist. She went on to obtain her BA in Art in 1989 at Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana & in 1996 completed her MA in art from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Deborah majored in printmaking in undergraduate school followed by ceramics & metalsmithing in graduate school.
Deborah then taught for 21 years as a high school art educator & adjunct professor of Art & Curriculum writer at Indiana Wesleyan University. She relocated to Colorado with her husband and children in 2013
